FTP Settings
All members are given 20MB of disk space to create and maintain their own pages via their "home" directory on the Mudgee Internet web server (home.winsoft.net.au). For details on how to do this, see below:

1. Download an FTP client (software for file transfer on a server). We recommend WS_FTP as being one of the easiest ones to use.

2. Create an "FTP session" and specify the following settings in the appropriate places:

Host

home.winsoft.net.au

Host-type

Auto detect

User ID

your user name

Password

your password

3. When you are connected to the server (or host), you will be in your "home" directory.

4. Upload your pages to this directory and they will be symbolically linked to the server using the following format: http://home.winsoft.net.au/USER/

Example: Fred Bloggs with email address of "fred@winsoft.net.au" will upload his files to his "home" directory and view them on the Web at the URL of "http://home.winsoft.net.au/fred/".

Web page counters: Each Mudgee Internet user is allowed 1 webpage counter for their homepage. To setup a counter please visit Counter Account page.

PHP/CGI Scripting: User homepages do not have access to CGI or PHP capablities of the Mudgee Internet server due to security reasons. If you require these advanced features you will need a hosting service. Please visit Services page for more information about web hosting services.
